Sooo I dropped my Candi-pop off at the airport this morning 🙁 Outside of my family- including my husband, I don’t know many people who would take their classes online and basically put their lives on hold for six months to come help me when I’m sick. However, my best friend Candice has been here since December, and she was at the hospital every day, cooked for me, dealt with me during my “roid-rages,” went to my radiation appointments, helped plan my wedding, planned my bachelorette party, drove me to school, the list could go on and on.
I don’t know what it’s like to grow up with a sister, but that’s what this twenty year friendship with Candice has been to me. I don’t have a lot of friends who know I can be selfish, spoiled and rude or that I can argue with like my brothers, and at the end of the day they are still my best friend!
The past six months have been a whirlwind, and nothing could ever happen that would lessen how much I appreciate Candice for being there for all of it. I don’t know when we’ll be reunited, tearing up the city, but until then, hats off and an amazing summer to my Candi-pop. If you ever need to see an example of what a true friend is, look to my best friend Candice- because she is nothing short of amazing.
